Because different liquid or gas media are corrosive to the corresponding plates, various corrugated metal plates with different materials are produced, so it is very important to select the plates with appropriate materials according to different heat exchange media. In the plate heat exchanger, the selection of plate material and pressing process requirements are extremely strict.

Four principles of plate material selection for plate heat exchanger:

First, select the plate material according to the chloride ion concentration. Material selection should consider the corrosiveness of the medium entering the heat exchanger, especially the corrosion of chloride ions; A, when the chloride ion concentration in the medium is less than 50mg/L) and the temperature is less than 60C, 304 can be selected. B, when the chloride ion concentration in the medium is less than 200mg/L and the temperature is less than 60C, 306 can be selected. C when the chloride ion concentration in the medium is higher than 200mg/L, high-quality stainless steel or alloy should be selected.

Second, the plate material should have high temperature. When the plate is used in high temperature environment, the plate material needs to have high temperature resistance.

Third, the sheet material should have good ductility. The plates of plate heat exchanger need to be manufactured to form corrugations with different shapes and depths. Therefore, the board should be malleable. Generally speaking, austenitic stainless steel has good ductility, and there will be no problem in cold-pressing processability.

Four, heat exchanger plates used for welding should also have good welding performance.
